Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public benefit nonprofit entity. Therefore, all donations made to it are tax deductible. To sustain our storytelling efforts, we rely on foundation grants, individual dona-tions, and payments for educational services rendered.

We are governed by a board of directors who help us ensure that we are good stewards over the funds that are committed to us.

The best stories — the most valuable ones — are about the people in your own family; the people you love.

A Heritage Tribute can help you introduce that special honoree to your children and grandchildren. Those stories are valuable because they are part of your personal heritage.

They are told in audio and video formats, even with reenactors to help bring the characters in the story to life.

As a result, the cost can be prohibitive for some families. That’s why we have initiated a

Scholarship Program to pick up some or even all of that cost.

Donations to this fund can only be used to help individuals and families who qualify for a scholarship.

We divide up these scholarships into two categories:

1. The 80/20 Scholarship fits most families’ needs.

• This is where the individual or family pays for 80% of the total cost and the scholarship fund picks up the other 20%.

  Often, it’s that 20% that raises the production level enough to make all the difference in how much impact that tribute has within the family. This level of support must be approved by our Scholarship Committee.

2. There are circumstances where the individual or family qualifies for more, even up to 100% coverage from our Scholarship Fund. This higher level of support must be justified by a combination of factors approved by our Board of Directors.

• Applicants for either level must submit an essay covering a variety of points in order to qualify.
